In many countries, bread is eaten widely both by the young and old. Eating bread may be a rarity in countries where rice is the staple food. Bread, however is very common in the form of sandwiches and other delicious forms in many countries.

Have you ever wondered how much of vitamins are stored in Bread, which one eats so regularly. Some of the important vitamins stored in bread are

Thiamine (B1): Consumption of bread contributes to the majority of thiamine intake in our body. This vitamin is especially useful and helps in the releasing of carbohydrates. Other sources of thiamine are wholegrain cereals, rice, pasta, milk, yeast, meat and poultry.

Niacin: This vitamin helps energy-production in cells. This helps us stay healthy and rejuvenates the energy sources. It gives us the energy to do things.

Folic acid: Found in bread this vitamin helps us stay healthy and fit.

Iron: This vitamin ensures that we have healthy blood flowing in our body. It is also required for a healthy immune system. It increases concentration and gives one the energy to work and play.
However, eating food or drinking juice that is rich in vitamin C helps in quicker absorption of vitamin C. Therefore make sure that you are either drinking orange juice or tomatoes salad when taking in iron rich food.

Calcium: This vitamin is necessary for healthy teeth and bones. This vitamin is also found in bread and ensures healthy bones.
