Heal Dry Skin With The Right Vitamins

If you suffer from very dry skin, you can help tackle the problem by taking in the right vitamins. These vitamins go in internally and strengthen and cleanse your body.

Some vitamins, which will be very useful for those who suffer from dry skin, are

1) Vitamin A: This vitamin is responsible for healthy hair and skin. Deficiency of this vitamin causes dry and scaly skin. One can find vitamin A in carrots, milk, oranges, spinach, papaya, mango etc, it is very important to include a sufficient amount of Vitamin A in your diet.

2) Vitamin B Complex: This vitamin is a complex grouping of several vitamins; deficiency of this vitamin also causes dry skin. The major functions of B vitamins are promotion of cell division and growth, improves muscle tone, enhance the immune system and avoid causes of stress and depression. Stress and depression also have a major effect on the tone of skin. This is the reason why when very stressful one notices their skin and hair going very dry. It is therefore important that one take sufficient amount of Vitamin B complex in their diet.

3) Vitamin C: Enables collagen production, development of new tissue and strengthening of blood vessels. This helps your skin retain moisture and have effective circulation of blood. Citrus fruits, tomatoes, cauliflower, strawberries etc are a rich source of vitamin C.

4) Vitamin E: Vitamin E prevents any kind of skin damage. When applied topically, it greatly helps reduce dryness and itching.

Drinking plenty of water, eating plenty of fruits and staying away from the sun also help one maintain a healthy skin tone.
