Vitamin Deficiency may cause Hair Fall

Hair fall could be a result of poor diet and vitamin deficiency. Hair follicles need certain vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients to carry their regular function of regeneration of hair. If the follicles are deprived of these for a long time their functioning would get affected resulting in hair loss.

If you have a properly balanced diet, more than half your health problems would disappear. In order to deal with hair fall, you need to have a diet rich in Vitamin A, B Vitamins, and Biotin

Vitamin A is essential for healthy growth of cells and tissues in our scalp and other parts of the body. Vitamin A deficiency often leads to hair loss. You should include lots of leafy vegetables, colorful fruits, milk, eggs, liver and fish oil in your diet.

The deficiency of one or more B vitamins also promotes hairloss. Three B vitamins – folic acid, vitamin B6 and B12 play a vital role in the creation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Chicken, fish, beet roots, oranges and whole grains are excellent sources of B vitamins.

Other essential vitamins like Vitamin C and minerals like Zinc, Iron and Copper are also necessary for hair growth and maintenance.

Make sure you have a well balanced diet of adequate protein, vitamins and minerals. For some people more than vitamins, protein deficiency would be the main culprit behind hair loss.
