Vitamins play a very vital role in our life.To have healthy hair it is important to have foods which are rich in Vitamin B, B3, B5, B6, zinc and sulfur. As deficiency of vitamins causes hair loss especially the deficiency Vitamin B.

Important vitamins for hair

Vitamin A: Vitamin A is very useful for healthy sebum in the scalp. Vitamin A can be found in meat, eggs, cabbage, apricots, cheese, carrots, spinach, peaches, milk and fish liver oil.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E helps in increasing scalp circulation. Vitamin E is found in wheat germ oil, nuts, green leafy vegetables, soybeans, dried beans, raw seeds and cold-pressed vegetable oils.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is very essential for health hair. Vitamin C is found in strawberries, pineapple, green peppers, leafy green vegetables, citrus fruits, kiwi, cantaloupe, and potatoes.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin): Vitamin B3 helps in enhancing scalp circulation. The common sources of vitamin B3 are wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, meat, chicken, fish and turkey.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid): Vitamin B5 helps in preventing hair loss. It is also called by Calcium Pantothenate. It is very necessary for the health of the scalp. This nutrient can be obtained from egg yolks, milk, organ meats, potatoes, whole grain cereals and brewer’s yeast.

Vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 is also effective in preventing hair loss and it helps in creating melanin that gives color to hair. Vitamin B6 is found in whole grain cereals, egg yolk, brewer’s yeast and organ meats.

Vitamin B12: It is also beneficial for preventing hair loss. The best natural sources of vitamin B12 are fish, milk, eggs and chicken.

Biotin: Biotin is also known as vitamin H. It helps in preventing graying and hair loss. Biotin can be found in whole grains, liver, milk, whole grain and rice.

Zinc: Zinc helps to stimulate hair growth by helping in the proper functioning of the immune system. Severe deficiency of zinc causes scalp problems and baldness.

    I have severe hair fall on my scalp, i tried to take many medicines but i m unsucessful, i am not getting my hair to be healty, even if i touch it it fall on my hand, its that much weak…

    I have been suffering from hair loss for last three years now.I have a flaky scalp.
    I always find a very thick layer of dandruff which never ends.I am 27 now.
    I have been consulting with Dr.Batra’s for last two years now but hardly could find any improvement.They prefer Homeopathy.Should i go ahead with them or not?

    I have a big patch on the top and a wider scalp.What should be my diet schedule as i’m vegetarian.Should i opt to be a non vegeterian, as many diet chart for this case suggest meat,chicken,eggs & others.Will this really help me?
