Biotin which is the other name for vitamin H helps in metabolizing carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It also helps in the production of fatty acids which help in promoting healthy nerve tissue, bone marrow and sweat glands. Biotin helps in relieving muscle pain, and it prevents and enhances the health of fingers and toenails.

• Brewer’s yeast
• Organ meats like liver and kidney
• Boiled eggs, especially the yolk of the egg
• Nuts like almonds, peanuts, pecans, walnuts and nut butters

• Other legumes like beans, black eye peas and peanuts
• Oat bran

Deficiency of Biotin

Shortage of Biotin is very rare. But if a person has deficiency of biotin it results in dry scaly skin, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, mental depression as well as tongue inflammation and high cholesterol.

Vitamin H is very good when you combine it with vitamin B Vitamin C, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B-12 and Sulfur.
