Rewards of having a healthy sex life are innumerable. A good sex life ensures everything – right from strengthening your immune system, breathing and circulation to keeping your skin healthy. It also relieves you from chronic pain and reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety.
It is a known fact that healthy and nutritious food helps you have a good sex life.
Here are a few vitamins that will help you gain this healthy state:
Vitamin A is extremely essential for normal reproduction. Deficiency of Vitamin A causes degeneration of the testicles and ovaries in male and female rats, leading to sterization. This deficiency of Vitamin A also leads to decreased production of sex hormones. Therefore make sure to nourish your body with vitamin A rich food like fish, eggs, yogurt, green leafy vegetables and yellow fruit.
Vitamin B-1 is essential to energize the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats in our body. Deficiency of Vitamin B-1 reduces energy and your sex-drive. It also leads to fatigue, decreased alertness, constipation and heart problems like rapid heartbeats. So nourish yourself with Vitamin B-1 rich nuts, asparagus, beans, pineapple, whole wheat, brown rice and other whole grains.
One of the most important functions of Vitamin B-3 or Niacin is assisting in the production of steroid hormones made by the adrenal gland. This also improves the function of sex hormones and stress-reducing hormones. Lean meat, chicken, fish, broccoli and yogurt are the Vitamin B-3 rich food.
Vitamin C, apart from increasing metabolism, plays an important part in the absorption of iron and formation of blood cells. These aspects of Vitamin C influence your sex life a lot. Iron indirectly enables blood to transport oxygen, hormones and nutrients to the organs, glands (including adrenal gland) and tissues, keeping them active. Good sources of Vitamin C are strawberries, tomatoes and other citrus fruits like oranges.
Apart from the above mentioned vitamins, a few like Vitamin D, Vitamin E and folic acid have indirect effects on having a good sex life.
Plan your food so that you naturally consume enough vitamins that would help you have a healthy sex life.
